Help

Hello all

I test drove a 2003 with the 6.0 last night it has the mid level bullydog

programmer installed it seemed like it was running a little rough when I would hit

the gas almost like it was getting bogged down the guy said it is probably

the programmer needing to be reset. Is this a common issue does this sound like

that is the problem or is there something more serious? I am new to diesels

please heeeellllllppppp

Thanks in advance

there is probably more to it than that , im not a fan of a bully dog on a 6.0 , but I doubt updating the tuner is gonna fix a driveability issue

So you dont think a faulty programmer could cause it to bog down when I accelerate?

What do you think would cause that?

How many miles are on it? If you can, get an oasis report.

With you being new to diesels you may want to steer clear. Lots of variables though.
1. How mechanically inclined are you
2. What's your budget
3. What's the purpose for the truck
4. Do you personally know a friend that is well versed in the 6.0's to help you out.

The 6.0 really can be a great engine, but its definitely not a truck for someone with no experience on wrenching on cars let alone a diesel. But, if your used to wrenching on all your stuff and if you can get it for a good price then jump on it.
