2003 6.0 died, towed home, where to start?

so I have a 2003 6.0 with 240k plus miles, while driving to the parts store to get front sway bar bushings....for this truck it died and would not restart.cranks fast and fine, seems to want to fired but does not. no smoke from exhaust while trying to start.

some history: heads were done 80k or so ago, injectors as needed, just did another ICP,DIY FICM repair a few years back. I am on the original HPOP, turbo,

any ideas on where to begin

probly going to grab a scan gauge 2 in the AM to monitor ICP, FICM VOLT, IPR and sync. I was poking around under the hood and found a large tear in the turbo elbow boot. truck started to fire while cranking when cool. not like a hot start scenario tho, just better than when I was n the side of the road.

it might be STC fitting or something leaking if it starts to fire cold but doesn't even start warm, unless i misunderstood.

I had the no hot start issue a few months back, tore into it with the parts for the STC fiting and my 03 has the old style HPOP fitting.....it looked good at the time.

No Snap To Connect fitting on the 2003 6.0L engine... Did you check for any codes? Few ideas to for you to look at, Battery voltage, pull the IPR and check the screen. The FICM is 2 halves, so check and see if you are showing 48 volts while cranking. Do not throw parts at it, also one last thing, any fuel in the truck? 240K miles on the clock, the high pressure pump may have up and died.

scanned for codes and got 2 injector codes, cont/bal..bad injectors I assume. will check FICM voltage in the AM after purchasing scangauge 2 . yes to fuel. is the IPR hard to pull out? I will be in there tomorrow and can pull it also. I would not look past the HPOP also...it lasted this long but your right, it may have died. is there a better place other than ebay to scoup up a HPOP for the 03's. is there a place that does rebuilds?

Thinking the lower shell on the FICM died, so do not get in a hurry until you find out more of what you have and do not have. Ebay is not my choice for parts....
