Oil cooler starting to get clogged.

I was told that my coolant and oil tem are 15 degrees apart. So my cooler is starting to get clogged. I was going to put a coolant filter inline and was wondering if there was an additive I can put in the coolant system to help break up the clog? Just got my 1st diesel and love it. 2005 F250 4X4 4 door.

Theres nothing you can do to undo it. There arent any additives that will dissolve the silicates that build up. You should switch to EC-1 rated red coolant. Install the filter during the flush and swap out a new oil cooler, you could even do EGR cooler delete while in there. Theres alot of write ups around here.
