Routine Maintenance. Help

I have the Ford logbook of the maintenance work I need done for every 10,000 miles. Just wondering if I need anything else? I've seen guys on here talk about flushing the fluids (Fords) and replacing them w some other ones. Any help is much appreciated

If it's got Ford Gold coolant get it outta there. Flush with distilled water and refill with a good cat ec-1 rated elc coolant. Only use motorcraft filters. Get a coolant filter if you don't already have one and a monitor like a scan gauge II.

It's just ELC-1 coolant, CAT refers to the caterpillar brand ELC coolant. I personally run caterpillars ELC

You might wanna research that a little more. Cat rated doesn't mean that it's Cat brand only and look into the meaning of ec-1 elc. :thumbup:

Thanks for the help guys, Ive been reading Fords Gold coolant is nothing but trouble. An how important is getting that coolant filter w a monitor? Bc I have the EGR delete done and only running SCT preloaded street tune since Im not studded yet

Get a monitor! That'll save you in the long run.. I got my scan gauge preloaded for the 6.0 from bullet proof diesel for $175. And get that coolant filter also..

There's no such thing as "cat rated" when you say get any cat ELC 1 rated coolant, that's not correct terminology. Cat ELC-1= caterpillar extended life coolant. So when I say I run cat ELC-1 coolant, that refers straight to caterpillars ELC coolant, not just any ol "cat ELC-1 coolant" as that doesn't exist. The coolant is rated per spec as: "ELC-1".

Wow! Lol easy there big fella. I just read a lot on here bout different coolants being cat rated ec-1. I'm pretty sure my jug of Final Charge says it's cat rated. Search "which coolant is cat rated ec-1" this turned into something great... :thumbup:
