deltas are good but losing coolant

i know there is a ton of threads about coolant loss but couldnt find one that helped me. anyway my dads truck is an 07 6.0 and i threw my insight in to chek the deltas and they were only off by 6 and truck has no puking issues when unloaded but we took a trailer up to canada about a 7 hour drive and she started puking. took the cap off didnt seem like there was a ton of pressure. on the way home it overeated one time so we stoped and coolant was only about a half gallon low so we added more and it didnt overheat anymore. last year ford did a headgasket check and said they were good. any tests i could run on it to help me diagnose this? thanks in advance for any help.

Same as mine again.
I could beat the living daylights out of my truck unloaded and NEVER puke a drop.
It only puked when I pulled heavy.

You said it didn't have much pressure when you removed the cap... I would suspect a bad degas cap. After that, tee in a pressure gauge into the degas line and watch the pressure when you are hauling. Quick spikes in pressure = bad gaskets.
