long crank - no start - now running ok

Hi. My 05 has 60,000 and last year did the egr/oil cooler/stc fitting. It usually runs great and is very dependable. You can see from the mileage that it sits a lot. So anyway, it was sitting about a week and I go to start and it cranks forever. Did this twice and then it starts so I move into my garage and change fuel filters. Afterwards it started right up and I drove it a little then parked it for a week. A couple days ago I go to start it and it cranks forever and no start. Did this two days and would not start. Did my research. Set my Edge Insight CTS to show FICM (always 48 volts running and cranking), and my icp psi. ICP was showing over 1000 psi while cranking and would sort of jump around. So I decided to give it a shot of starter fluid in the air filter gauge minder hole and it cranks a few seconds and fires up and runs find. FICM is 48, ICP is 700 psi plus depending on rpm. I drive it two days and it starts and runs fine. That is how it is now. I have it in the garage charging the batteries now. Do you think I have a problem that needs to be addressed or is it due to sitting too much and maybe air in the system from my fuel filter change? Thanks.

Well good pressure doesnt always mean anything for the IPR, whats the ICP %? if your looking at the high pressure side as the issue, make sure your FICM sync shows a 1 that says the cam and crank sensors are working properly, make sure you got lots of fuel pressure while cranking that it isnt dieing off, and or is even working properly.
make sure the glow plugs are also working properly without the heat in the system(even when warm) it could take a few extra go to make her fire.

check his channel you will see the no start stuff, it gives info for long crank
