It is possible to notice a slight drop in mileage with the egr delete... but not that much. I would first double check your intake and exhaust plumbing (particularly the joints around the turbo area) for power and mileage robbing leaks. Double check all electrical connections to ensure they are "snapped" together. Also do a scan to ensure there are no trouble codes.
Another thing to note, is that you only owned the truck for 3 weeks so its hard to come up with accurate mpg with such short time.
SCT is a brand of programming hardware (like the edge). Sell the edge and pick up an SCT programmer from a reputable custom tuner!
