6.0 egr delete then worse MPG

I just bought an F250 KR 3 weeks ago and just had to put egr delete on it. I also replaced the oil cooler. It has an Edge Juice Attitude on it and now I am getting worse MPG. This is my second diesel but the first was a 7.3 but it didn't have any mods on it. Please help me try to determine what I can do to bring my mileage back up. I was getting 15-16 before delete and now I am getting 11-12. I put the Edge setting on stock and that seems to be helping but I would have thought the programmer would have been better than the stock setting. I have read about the SCT but will it work with the Juice Attitude or am I going to have to drop more money?

It is possible to notice a slight drop in mileage with the egr delete... but not that much. I would first double check your intake and exhaust plumbing (particularly the joints around the turbo area) for power and mileage robbing leaks. Double check all electrical connections to ensure they are "snapped" together. Also do a scan to ensure there are no trouble codes.

Another thing to note, is that you only owned the truck for 3 weeks so its hard to come up with accurate mpg with such short time.

SCT is a brand of programming hardware (like the edge). Sell the edge and pick up an SCT programmer from a reputable custom tuner!

I noticed a slight drop with my Edge Juice w/att as well... about 1-2 mpg.
