Crazy Wipers

Yesterday, jumped in the 2005 F350 Dually and drove about 2 miles when the windshield wipers and washer fluid came on by themselves. I could increase the speed of the wipers with the switch but not turn it off. Then in about 5 minutes, just as they had come on, they stopped. Then, a couple of minutes later they were back on. They went like this off and on for about 10 minutes until I pulled the fuse in the engine bay. I started the truck this morning and put the fuse back in and they were back on within a few seconds. Anybody seen this? I've found some related threads but none matching my exact conditions. 125k and inside of the firewall was dry as a bone.

Went out today at lunch, took the steering column cover off and disconnected the wiper switch. All that did was remove the ability to signal and increase the speed of the wipers. They still came on when I turned the truck on and the washer fluid motor was cycling. It ran itself out yesterday. I've heard the wiper motor and the Generic Electric Module (GEM) maybe bad. I think I've eliminated the switch. Anybody dealt with this? Am I in the wrong section?
