Turbo Whistle Surge??

Hi guys, im new to the forum. I have an issue with my turbo. I have a 2004 F250 4x4. While driving steady down the freeway (Doesnt matter speed) my turbo sounds like its surging, kind of like a wishhhhh---wisshhhhh-wisshhh sound. I dont have a boost gauge so i cant tell if the boost is surging, but it doesnt feel like the engine is surging. It seems to really only happen when it warms up. It does not surge at idle at all. Any suggestions? I am new to the diesel world. just thinking if i may need to tear the turbo apart when deleting the EGR cooler. No codes are being thrown. Thanks

Look for an exhaust leak. Mine was making the same noise. I found my cat delete pipe rusted and completely seperated from the rest of the system. Just ordered its replacement from swamps.

Thanks for the repsonse. I bought this truck a year ago. It has always made this sound. 3 months ago I had a buddy install a 5" turbo back exhaust, no muffler or cat. Still the same surge. this new exhaust is all welded. i did inspect it and everything looks OK?

Have you ever pulled and cleaned the turbo?

I literally just deleted my EGR cooler and cleaned my oil cooler. I removed the turbo and cleaned the veins/Unisum ring. I re-installed the turbo and started the truck. I had a leak at the Y-pipe where it meets the turbo, but finally got it seated correctly. Re-started the truck. It does not sound like the turbo is spooling correctly. I took it for a test drive (100' distance) and the boot feeding the intercooler from the turbo blew up! I have removed the turbo again to make sure everything is ok and it is. Any suggestions?
