Sputtering

I have been having a problem with my 2007 f250 in the morning when I pull out of the driveway it sputters some. Normally it has went away after a minute or 2 and I doesn't happen the rest of the day. I have been letting it warm up in the morning it seemed to help. This morning it did it after letting it warm up then after driving 10 minutes on the interstate at 70 mph it did it again sputtering and shaking. When I let off the gas it stopped and came and went till I got to work. Did again when it to lunch but immediately went away. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks.

No I don't have a tunner or monitoring system. Truck is stock except for exhaust. I'm going to take it to a dealer this week and have them change my fuel filters and air cleaner and have them hook it up and see what the problem is. It ran fine on the way home. I was thinking maybe injector or hpop. Truck has 92k miles.

You need a monitor, but it sounds like stiction. Get a buzz/contribution/balance test done. If they recommend replacing the injector, maybe you can try the fix in my sig.

It did it again this morning for about 300 yards down the road. I turned around and came back. While it was doing it black smoke was coming out the exhaust

I tried to crank it this morning and it would crank right up then cut right back off with a puff of black smoke. I have a guy coming over this afternoon to try and get the codes off it and see what the problem is.

Guy from a dealership came and hooked it to his computer and said the ficm was bad. He recommended getting a new oem ford one. I looked up ficmrepair.com and I can get mine rebuilt with lifetime warranty for a little more than half the cost of a new one. And recommendations on what I should do.
