Need help 6.0 won't start and stranded

I have never had a start problem. Truck fired up fine, then I stopped a few minutes later. Turned the truck off and when I went to start it would not turn over. Turned the key like normal and waited for glow plug light to go off and the truck did not even attempt to start. Tried taking out of park and put I other years and no change. All lights and radio come on but doesn't make an attempt to start.

If it sounds like a fuse does anyone know which one would likely be the culprit and if not what else I should look at thanks in advance.

What is your voltage reading on the batteries? Sounds like a bad battery, just because your lights come on and all your accessories work does not mean you don't have a bad battery. You need I think at least 24v 1500 cranking amps just to spin the starter. My suggestion is load test batteries and have alternator tested. Do not attempt to start the truck until you know the condition if the batteries, you could take out the ficm if you are not careful. Good luck

I didn't think the battery only because everything was working normal a few minutes earlier and then just nothing. I will pull the batteries tomorrow and get them tested. Can anyone think of any other relatively common issues that I should check out before having towed.

Thanks for the reply

A big thanks to Jugernaut for a quick response and great advice that resulted in me driving away. Tough to find people that go out of there way to help someone out.

THANKS AGAIN TO JUGERNAUT AND THE .ORG

It's (2) 12V batteries in *parallel*

Overly simplified:
Identical batteries in parallel = same voltage, double current (all things being equal)
Identical batteries in series = double voltage, same current (all things being equal)
