Starting Noises and Issues

I have a 2005 6.0 that when starting sounds normal for a second then changes to a louder metal on metal grinding sound, after 3-4 seconds of cranking it starts up and runs like new. Recently I replaced the blue spring upgrade and I thought I left something off and had a fuel leak, but there is no sign of fuel anywhere.

Also, this happens when "cold" (I live in FL, temps maybe to 55 at night and 70 when starting) or warm (after running it to full temps, shutting off for 10 minutes and starting it back up)

Thanks for your help!

Sound could be the starter not engaging the flywheel properly.
