New to forum, having boost and trans issues

Good morning everyone, hooked my 05 to the trailer last night with about 2 ton plus the trailer, about another 2 ton, took off with everything running normal. Hit a pretty crazy headwind and the junk on my trailer started acting like a sail. My boost gauge would peg at about 30 psi and the truck wouldn't accelarate at all. Push the pedal down a little farther then the rpms finally came up and the turbo would back off down to about 20 psi, then back up to 30, then back down to 20 and would keep doing this. I dont know if there is any correlation to the trans shifting goofy due to the turbo, but the trans seemed sluggish and hesitant to shift. Anyone have something like this happen? The truck drives normal with no trailer right now. I just had the turbo off and cleaned it and installed a new unison ring. I just seems odd to get so much boost right away.
