Starting issues (with updates)

Truck got a oil change, fuel service (which it realy needed) and Cat & muffler delete. Truck runs better but...

Truck doesn't like to Hot start and doesn't like to cold start. If plugged in it will start first try but with foot to the floor. Only chance at hot start is again, foot to the floor.

What would cause it to only start if your foot is in it? Once it is running it seems to be fine.

Bump, truck will only start with foot on throttle. Hot start much worse than cold start.

Load test your batteries and perform the ficm check procedure cold. Do you have a monitor? Are you using motorcraft filters and oem caps? Need a reading on icp, ipr.

The ford manual says to hold the pedal to the floor, if it is not starting, to shut the fuel off to prevent flooding. Not sure how you holding the pedal to the floor could help in your situation.

Not sure either. I'm getting it scanned at the dealership this week.

Foot to the floor it will start. If I don't touch the gas pedal it just cranks and cranks with a no start.

When it starts does it blow a lot of smoke for 15 seconds or longer? As Southend said, the foot to the floor is really not a player, unless you have injector nozzles that are not closing and are letting in fuel that is fouling the cylinders for a start.

No, no smoke on start. I tryed a somewhat cold start yestedday wthout the throttle and it cranked for a while and then it did start so maybe the foot on throttle realy isn't helping.

I had it scaned yesterday. noly codes of intrest were injector 1 and 6 low voltage circuit or somthing like that.

Is this a 7.3 or a 6.0? Checked your sig. It is starting to sound like a IDM (7.3), FICM (6.0), 2 injectors, or wiring issue.

Undoubtely, you have more than one problem, but I would include hpo leak, hpop failing.
