4" straight pipes and AiRaid intake system...NO cel. Custom SCT that disables the EGR, so maybe thats why I dont get a cel. We hungout with Tadd from ATS a little this weekend at shieds, and he says you do not need Back preasure on the 6.0L. I dont know....I dont have this problem with my truck, and havent had a customer call with the problem either.

with a functional EGR system, you DO need backpressure....but without the EGR being used, no, you wouldnt need it...

On a note...the K&N filters in our testing do not perform better than a good paper/cotton type filter. In dirt late model engines, by the end of a main event (50 laps), we see the K&N's on the chassis dyno down about 50hp. On a wix paper filter, about 5 hp down...just FYI...

All,

Since I re-set my computer by unplugging it as Marc suggested, the light has not come back on. Drove it to NC and back (1600 mi RT). Straight pipes with an AFE ...? Hope it stays off

Frankie

Hey everyone, I am new to posting here but it seems like I have read nearly every thread on this and some of the other PSD forums! I love these trucks but have had some issues with mine (2003 6.0L F250). Anyways, since there is such controversy over mods and exhaust etc in this thread I thought I would just share my experience.

I originally had (about one year ago) AFE Stage II intake with Edge Juice Platinum with attitude and MBRP 4" exhaust with Cat delete. My truck is running the current PCM flash (inductive heat) and the only problems I ran into was that the AFE intake I had was the old tube design. My truck sputtered and crap at higher RPM. I then replace the intake tube with the newer design and was happy with it for about a month and a half till the sputtering started again. I switched back to the stock intake and no problems 25k miles later. The MBRP exhaust is F'ing loud but it has never caused any CEL and my truck spools VERY quickly. I am very happy with my current setup and would recommend it to anyone (Current PCM flash, Edge Juice Platinum w/ Attitude, and MBRP exhaust).

Ohh yeah, my truck also has an insane amount of power for just a couple of bolt ons!
