Smoke.....questions
Ok here it is 2006 with 70k, turbo back 4inch exhaust. Atlas 40 tune just put on everything else stock. Also edge cts to monitor.
Had FICM fixed last week along with atlas 40 tune. First couple days didn't notice smoke. Filled up Friday at different station, parked truck no smoke that I noticed. Sunday me and wife out and about noticed smoke leaving a light, just happened to look in mirror, it is blue. Does it every stop, not at idle, I can (tried today) get some smoke smashing throttle while parked. Does smoke when high idle engages, but it always clears right up. It's a puff, could be considered small cloud I guess, not so thick I can't see behind me. I was told the atlas 40 can cause a puff of smoke. It never did this before the tune, actually under a hard throttle from a stop it would smoke a little black. I have red a lot but posts usually don't put up the end result. So what are your thoughts? I cleaned egr valve today had been 10k plus, didn't look to bad at all. I know blue is oil, but diesel does have some oil content, so could the fuel I filled up with cause the problem as in a bad batch? I have noticed once in a while my furnace blowing a puff of blue smoke when starting outnthe chimney. Running T5 with rev x right now but oil change due about hundred miles will be hitting it soon. Ran rev x thinking i had stiction turned out to be ficm, since fixed starts and runs strong. I've read blue smoke being turbo seal, hpop, injector stiction, injector o rings, considered normal etc. Just confusing honestly.
Just some ideas, I'd find it funny a turbo seal since it never did smoke blue before, wat to coincidental in my opinion.
Thanks for the help ideas in advance......josh
