EOT at 225 in town!!???

Just got a dash boss, my eot is 225 in town and ect is 190. EOT seems a little high. Is it????? Did a BPD egr and ford oil cooler less than a 1 yr ago with new coolant ELC. Can my cooler be plugged again??? I have been having issues with puking coolant when climbing.

Sounds like a plugged oil cooler bud. The only right way to go is with a BPD oil cooler imho. You pay out your butt but you should never have to worry about it again.

i agree.. he can try to clean his oil cooler but its not really worth it.. what coolant are you running?

Kendallcschm brings up a good point. Although Ford does not recommend it the Ford Gold coolant has known issues that most people agree causes the plugged oil coolers. You need a coolant such as Rotella ELC or Fleetrite (International's brand) ELC that does not have the same issues to plug up oil coolers.

Just pointing out that your sig states you have a sinister egr cooler and in your post you stated BPD??? So which is it??

I am using rotella elc and i think the egr cooler is sinister. Oops!

Is it pouring white smoke after it starts up with the engine already warmed to operating temp?

Oil cooler is definitely clogged and if it has been that clogged for a while it's a good possibility it clogged and ruptured your egr cooler. BPD it up man go with a BPD oil cooler kit and egr cooler and call it good unless you have pushed a head gasket.

What if a guy had used bars leak in the radiator a few months back to fix a leak???? Would vc9 clean that out??
