Clocking the IPR valve
Okay, so yesterday I replaced the IPR valve on one of the work trucks and I did not realize until today that it can be clocked so that the harness plugs in from the bottom. As of right now it plugs in from the top I did put all the heat shields and covers back on everything. Do you think it's going to get too hot or will it be okay with the harness plugging into the top? I am just concerned about the heat from the up pipe.

Re: Clocking the IPR valve
Mine is plugged in from the top, i'm sure it's not a problem, but clocked down may be slightly better.
Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get. |

it is possible to loosen the external sheild that is crimped to the body and re-index the IPR solenoid. I haven't had to do this in a while but I definitely wouldn't want the connector pointing straight up.
pointing back towards the exhaust is where the harness comes in from, ideally you'd want it pointing that way or slightly down |
