Ipr valve bad?

Hey guys, so I'm working on a 2006
F 550 . They shut it off and it won't start back up FICM voltage 48v during cranking ICP pressure 12 to 15 psi during cranking. I was going to do the air test so I unplugged the IPR valve and hooked up my jumper plug connected it to battery power and I never heard it click or anything. Shouldn't it click or make some kind of noise when it shuts BTW I've already tried unplugging ICP sensor and still won't start. if it is the IPR valve does anyone know what the torque is for installing the new one. thanks your help is greatly appreciated.

Quick update, so I'm doing the Air test and I could barely hear any air coming out of the oil fill neck, however if I take the 12 V away from the IPR valve there is no change in the sound of the air. Your input is greatly appreciated

Sounds like you need to pull the ipr and inspect it first.

It was the IPR valve, With the oil fill cap Removed you could hear air very slightly with the IPR closed or opened there was no change in sound of the air

You need to pull it and see what the screen looks like, not sure if you can clean it and get it working.

Usually trash gets shot through the hpop and punctures the screen, then debris lodges the ipr open. You need to fix that first to rule out other potential leaks with the air test.

Oh, okay. I haven't given the old IPR valve a look yet but I will tomorrow, today I was in a parking lot of Les Schwab with my service truck and a crew waiting on me so time was of the essence. Just pulled old out and through new in. thanks for the info though I'm going to look at it tomorrow.

No worries, it was a work truck. Good info to have though if my personal truck ever decides to do the same thing it will save me $200 if I can just clean it
