Quadzilla/Water Temp.

I hooked up my Quadzilla monitor today and notice a problem with my water temp. In about 5 seconds from start it goes from nothing to 300f. My guess is I have the wire clipped on the wrong wire. I have it on the "yellow" wire. Did I Clip it to the wrong wire? I have a 06 6.0...

so after a in depth search here, I find that others have had the same problem.
Quad: wants you to load the update.. Do I need to disconnect everything when I do this?
ps. water works when key is "on" but as soon as I start the truck it pegs out?

That is because the fan is blowing the wiring around enough to lose the connection. Take the wire tap apart and peel the insulation back on the wire. This way you will get a better connection. While you are there, put a drop of solder on there as well. That will likely cure 99% of your problems.

Don't update it unless you absolutely have to. The latest update makes the temp read funny. Delaware King Ranch didn't have any temp issues until he updated his. Try the wire first and then go from there. I have cured 95% of my problems to date, but it still reads high and sometimes erratic.

I used to read erratic, but re connected a diff way, and now she dont stutter, even at hiway speeds when theres a ton of air and vibration going on. I agree with the connection problem like Deere said.
