no power white smoke....

hey guys im new here and i got a question... just got my truck like 2 weeks ago.. its a 2004 f 350 6.0. with 50,000 miles runs fine at start-up and fine until around normal operating temp. this is when the problem starts... when at a light and i go to acell. there is no power at all and it bellows out white smoke and takes like 10 sec or so to get going.. does this once or twice then its ok.. any help would be great.. also i tried cleaning the egr and it did it once after that as well.. Happy Thanksgiving..

I HAVE THE SAME TRUCK AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MINE.I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND FRIST THEY REPLACED THE EGR COOLER FOR IT LEAKING AND IT FIXED IT FOR A WEEK OR SO THEN IT STARTED OT BLOW COOLANT OUT THE COOLANT TANK SO I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY FOUND THAT THE HEADGASKETS NEED TO BE REPLACED SO WHEN THEY REPLACED THE HEADGASKETS I HAD THEM PUT THE ARP HEAD STUDS IN WITCH I BOUGHT AND GAVE THEM TO THE TECH.
I WOULD SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY ON THE STUDS FOR EXTRA INSURANCE IF YOURS NEED TO BE REPLACED

Did that fix the problem?

After you had the headgasket replaced and the new studs put in was the problem fixed? If it was fixed, how long has it been since you had it done? ... I am experiencing the same issue with my 2004 6.0l and want to give my mechanic as much info as I can.
