No turbo spool, overheating, and very sluggish

Hello all,
I've been test driving this 07 6.0 for a couple days, and I was supposed to sign papers on it this morning. But of course how my luck has been going lately the truck decided to act up last night. Last night was the coldest night we've had all year, so I decided to start it up about 10 minutes earlier than I usually do, and it was a little hard starting but after it started it idled good. So when I got out of work stated to drive out of the parking lot and it had no power whatsoever. Then I noticed I had no boost, then looked over at temp gauge and it climbing at a steady rate. I didn't see any.white smoke or smell of coolant. Then the dealership said it was just out of coolant. Would having no coolant cause these issues? Any bit of info would be great.

Re: No turbo spool, overheating, and very sluggish

I would not consider buying this truck without reading all the stickies here, a monitor, and oasis report.
Write Up: Monitoring the 6.0L PSD.
It sounds like it has bad batteries, a bad ficm, possibly a clogged oil cooler, and busted egr cooler. It is probable that the truck was defueling to save it's ***.

Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get.
