she only tested the one side so I don't know what the other was reading.

I was leaning towards what you said, a bad alternator but I will not be able to get it checked till sunday or monday when I get back in town.

If I do replace it will be with a 120 or 140 AMP new one.
I know with 120 I would not have to re-wire anything, you think with a 140 I would have to run a different bigger cable?

So I changed the alternator and the problem still persist.

Going to replace the batteries today and see if that fixes it.

Just replaced both batteries and PROBLEM SOLVED. Truck is back to its old self, cranks right up and runs like a champ

I just saw this. My truck was doing the exact same thing, But its been -4 low to a high of 14. I replaced the batteries and everything is fine. I used to have to jump it in the morning then it would be fine all day, but when it sat over night it would not have enough juice to turn it over.
