Noise under the hood when I shut her off
After I shut my truck off, there is a fast ticking sound under the hood for about 30 seconds. Can someone tell me what it might be? Thanks all

its the injectors buzzing. Ford had a reflash for it to try and fix cold start injector problems. It didnt work on most trucks. The latest programming doesnt do that. If you have a programmer in it...take it out and return the truck to stock. Take it into the dealer and complain a bout a "miss on cold starts". They will put the newer programming in it. If your truck has been programmed with an SCT you will need to get new tunes from your tuner...but that will fix the noise AND its a better fix for cold start problems!!!

What years did they do this in? i have an 05 i just bought and it makes a similar noise after shut off.. it almost sounds like it is coming from under the truck sometimes idk but it is really annoying and i would really like to know what it is so i can get it fixed... the ford dealer around here is really no help at all they say that it is normal and i have never heard this on another truck before.. thanks

It was a short lived TSB. Shortly after this was released, Ford implemented the Induction Heating which buzzes the injectors before starting. I still have this flash I'm not sure if getting an updated flash is going to kill performance or fuel mileage, so I'll wait.
