Question truck shuts off and comes back on

Alright guys i need some help! I have a buddy with a 05-06 f-250 6.0 that is having a wierd problem. He says if he lets his truck sit and idle for a long time and then starts to drive it will all of a sudden shut all electric power off then come right back on. He says everything quits and in a split second it comes back. Hes worried about screwing the tranny or his rear end up because it jerks really bad when it does it. They checked the cam sensor and a couple more but i cant remember what he told me. Sorry for the lack of info but this is all he gave me.

Re: truck shuts off and comes back on

Had one do the exact same thing. It was crank sensor wiring. It was chaffed through and grounding on the block.
