Random change in A/C temp

Hello all, been doing some searching and I have not found what I am looking for.

When running my A/C on any level it will randomnly start blowing extremely hot and then go back to cold, sometimes it will happen and last just a little bit and sometimes it will stay hot and I will have to turn A/C off to stop the heat. Or sometimes the A/C will keep blowing without any issues. The same goes for the heater, no matter what degree the control is set on it only blows full heat! Didnt realize the problem until I heard ticking noise from dash, replaced blend door actuator and noise stopped. Dont know if it was just coincidence or if they are directly related? Or could this be a low freon level?

Truck is a 2007 F-250 King Ranch with electronic climate control. Thanks for help.
