Hey guys. Recently i just began hearing a very faint whistle from the engine compartment, it was not normal turbo whistle. Now the noise is much louder, seems to be coming from the turbo area when looking under the hood. There is no screech while driving just in neutral and high idle, its been cold lately. I've checked everywhere for leaks doesnt seem to be any. truck drives fine spools and boosts fine, MTW stage 2 for about a month now, looney wild with 100% open vanes at idle.

Her's a video in the shop i figured no better way to explain the noise.

Yes, or the up pipe, look for soot, you can use something to pry up, it may change the tone.

Yeah, it's possible, just have to investigate. Look for soot too.

My truck made a very similar noise while driving yesterday (15 degrees outside). My noise was much longer though, maybe 10-12 seconds. It happened several times over the course of a 50 mile drive, but haven't had any issues since. I'll have to check the pipes for soot.
