new filers now nothing

i know its on here somewhere just can't find it. we changed fuel filters, started it up ran rough then died. i know it has to purge the air, but now it wont start at all. removed the frame mounted filter and checked it after we noticed no fuel in upper filter. still no start. any ideas? thanks. oh, by the way we had to stop because the upper filter cap broke while trying to tighten it.

Oem filters? Look for cracks, make sure it's seated well, it can suck air. Typically you would just cycle the key three or so times to purge the air.
