Help! Crank no start
Hey everyone, I'm working on a 06 f250 powerstroke it cranks doesn't start, fires right up on a little shot of ether and runs perfectly fine. The ICP is around 300 cranking and when it's running the pressure is exactly the desired psi. Also the ICP % was around 23 at idle and free reving went to 39%. What do you guys think?

First off unplug the ICP and see if it will start without ether (not good on them engines)
The engine needs 500 psi min. oil pressure to start. Unplugging the sensor causes the PCM to use a default 750 psi reading. If the truck starts and runs on its own then you have a bad sensor. If it doesn't you have a HPoil system leak a small one since it will run with help but it needs to be investigated and addressed. |

Since I posted that, we tore the turbo off and the sensor to see if the end of the sensor had garbage on it, it was pretty well clean. Monday we are going to use high pressure nitrogen and see if we can find a leak
