Question 03 6.0 thump when turning Left

hey whats going on guys? this past weekend i took the truck out in the woods for the fist time since ive had it. (about 4 weeks now). After that about 2 times when turning left the front driver tire like skips kinda or thumps when I turn. I tried doing a little research about it. This is my 2nd f250 and my last one had a bad ball joint. so i check out the bushings first everything seemed to be tight under there. I mean im not getting any crazy wheel play or anything. So idk what else it could be. some1 said maybe axel bearings, maybe something with the 4X4 hub not unlocking. not too sure. I hate to bring it to ford. So I figured I would ask you guys first and see if any1 had a similar prob. and what was the fix. Also this has only happened twice. once like 20 mins ago and then yesterday. So im not too sure what it could be.

Also when Im driving my truck if i get on it not crazy it sounds like the engine
shuts down like u dont hear the motor running then like 2-3 seconds later it starts going again? anyone have that prob? let me know guys thanks alot

Are you talking about when you let off the accelerator it sounds like the engine shuts down for 2-3 seconds?

On my '95 F250 I had a bad locking hub and it sounds like it might be your problem. It didn't thump all the time, just sometimes when turning and rode fine going straight. I am sure it will get worse over time. Once the thumping occurred a few times I knew something was wrong and got it fixed before something really bad might of happen.

Thanks Dan for the heads up..yeah it just happened again tonight turning into a parking spot. and to boot, some1 hit my driver mirror so now i need a new one of thoses..i hate when people do stuff like that and just drive away

And yes it happens when i left off the throttle it sounds like the engine shuts off..like something is sticking if you will.

The engine sounding like it shuts off for a few seconds is normal after you let off the pedal. And if its not both of our trucks have a problem.
