to buy or not to buy

thinking of buying an 06 Superduty with the Powerstroke but am afraid that they might not have most of the bugs worked out yet. What do those of you who have them say? Is it a good motor or should I look a little harder at the Dodge Cummins, even though I don't like the truck as well?

i think it'd be fair to assume 99.9% of the members here will reccommend a Ford. Although we've had a few small kinks with ours, we're still over-all pleased with it.

I could say the same about the 6.0, tho I won't cause I know the problems have been fixed, as have the dodge tranny problems.

But anywho back to the topic, the newer 05+ 6.0s have the bugs worked out of them so theres not much to fear from them like an 03 or early 04 6.0 for instance. Buy one and enjoy! :burnout

i believe that most or all the bugs have been worked out and the '05 and later 6.0's are good to go.

I wouldn't worry about owning one, I would have bought one myself but I stumbled on a smokin' deal on my 7.3.

Beware

I know that after Ford has acted the way they have toward me with my '04 I won't be back. They may have most of the bugs worked out however if you do have a problem with will just be considered another 6.0 casualty. Once you become a 6.0 casualty they will try to find every reason to blame the owner and deny the warranty. Read the way Ford has treated all the people in this forum with their problems and ask yourself if you think they will treat you different. This is my 4th powerstroke and I won't purchase another Ford. Ask McRee Ford in Dickinson, Tx.
