Thump/rattle noise from 04 350?

My 04 F-350 ccsb 4x4 makes a loud thump/rattle noise when going over ripples in the road. It sounds like it is coming from the front suspendtion?
Everything seems quiet and tight when bouncing on it siting still.
Can't find what it is but it is very annoying!

Any idea's? Thanks, Kevin

My 04 F250 does it, i've heard someone say they changed the sway bar links and that fixed it. I changed my shocks, didn't help, but I think it's my sway bar bushings. When the truck is level and the tires are straight, there is slop in the sway bar bushings, I can move it with my hand, i'm gonna change them and see if that stops the noise. I have leafs btw.

Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get.

I guarantee 100% that sway bar bushings will fix yours and the OP's problem. Look on ebay and you can find urethane kits that have sway bar bushings and the link bushings for less than $50

Have a c-clamp? If so, clamp it to the sway bar and then barely loosen it to get it back off. Measure the gap. 32mm is 1-1/4" and 30mm is just under 1.19"

Awesome, thanks! I will check it out.
Do you just measure the bar to determin the size bushing or is it the OD of the bushing?

I measured my bar, 1 1/4", advanced auto has the energy suspension kit for $42. I only need the sway bar bushings, my bar flops in the bushings. I let you know when I change them. Probably this weekend.

Don't use a petroleum based grease or anything. Buy a tube of dielectric grease. It's exactly the same stuff as they send in the bushing kit. Grease only the bar and inside the bushing, and grease it A LOT.
