04 250 hard start( when cold) runs choppy when started

Ok I am at a loss, first of all I have done to the truck is 4" turbo back mbrp no cat no muffler, and banks 6 gun( which usually stays on 6 unless towing) recently replaced egr and fuel filters. Now for the problem.. When starting in temps that dip below 50 it'll start and sometimes cut off, then when started again puffs white smoke and runs really rough until engine temp rises then perfect. Problem is it usually takes 10-15 min to happen. I did notice oil around the glow plugs on passenger side only, not really sure if that has anything to do with it or not. Any help is appreciated. I thought I blew a gasket until reading through the forum and finding out that the coolant level on degas bottle has been changed to below min, THANKFULLY !

Get a monitor, load test your batteries, perform ficm check procedure

This is very interesting, I also have an '04 with very similar symptoms, with a 6 gun. Do you have the PowerPDA or Banks IQ on your six-gun tuner to pull OBDII codes?

Check your FICM voltage while cranking engine.
