Low coolant

I bought my first powerstroke about six months ago it is an 04 with 85000 miles. About a month ago I noticed that the coolant level was low so I add some. Today at a stoplight I noticed that my heat went cold so I pulled over and checked, the coolant bottle was empty! I can't see any leaking, we is it going? We're do I start?

Could be egr cooler or headgaskets... Have you checked the oil?

Yes I checked the oil it seems to be good looks normal and level is good
From what I'm reading I think it my be the head gaskets how do I find out for sure?
