EGR?

Ok i understand the egr delete thing i think. From the way it looks in the bulletproof diesel pic of egr delete kit it just blocks off the gases from going throw the coolant coils. So where do the gases go? That worries me. And i was also thinking if it's because of the coolant leaking and mixing with the gases could i just reroute the coolant and just bypass the the egr so it never even goes throw the egr and the gases can still flow throw freely
