Need some help!
Hi all, I've been searching through the forum and haven't been able to find the answer to my problem. My truck left me stranded this morning due to some unknown electrical gremlin.
My stereo reset itself while driving down the road, then my gagues started acting wierd, then the truck just died. When I tried to restart, the gauges and lights would come on for a second, then shut off. Door locks and windows worked fine and the engine will crank, but the glow plugs and injectors aren't cycling. This happened once yesterday, but it restarted. I live on base now and have a short commute. I'm wondering if this could be from low battery voltage due to the short trips not allowing the batteries to recharge. FICM? Alternator? Thanks in advance. |

Update: I replaced all glow plugs and the module. Replaced batteries. Still having a draw issue. I went through every fuse tonight and found the #2 (instrument cluster) to be drawing .35Amps. I think it may have something to do with a loose wire in my pillar gauge pod, but we shall see. I jiggled some wires and the draw dropped to .0025A, so I'm feeling better. Any thoughts? I suspect it had to do with the pod falling down multiple times while driving around in the desert. That's about when it started.
I'm thinking a monitor to replace the gauges is in order, anyhow. |
