Oil Pressure

I have a 2003 6.0L. I have a couple of issues with as of now. The first is the oil pressure gauge takes roughly 3 to 5 seconds to read, and then the oil pressure reads normal. I'm not sure it this an issue or not. Second is my charging system light comes on at random times. The batteries are good and the alternator takes a little time to cycle. Its puts out 13-14 volts. Are these issues or are they just normal.

The dash oil gauge is basically just an idiot light. It only reads a max of 7 psi.

As for the alternator check your belt tensioner is working correctly, it can slip at times and not turn the alt at the correct rpm. It can also be failing have it tested, preferably at a rebuild shop.
