Tranny or electrical???

Ok was pullin a little 16ft bumper hitch trailer the other day and i had my bts file loaded in and all a sudden truck died. And then it put it in nuetral and coasted to a stop and then i started her back up and i put in gear and now it doesnt go in gear. Like it acts as if its not gettin any signal to go in gear cuz the rpms dont move at all like its even tryin to go into gear or anything. I called brian at bts who did my tranny and he says its probally electric cuz he said he has never had any issues with his tranny for the 6.o. But he told me to haul it down there and he fix whatever it is for free awesome guy to meet and talk to very very knowledgeable. My question is has this ever happened or heard of with any other truck???
