Fuel problem??????
I few weeks ago on the freeway my truck felt like it was cutting out, I got to work and it was barely running. My first thought was fuel filters were clogged. I changed the filters and it fired right up like nothing was wrong so I turned it off to get cleaned up, came back a few mins later and it was running like crap, but it cleared up and ran ok. Been driving for a few weeks and it runs and starts fine, seems a little down on power but nothing major. Yesterday I get off the freeway and it starts running bad again, idling rough at about 500 rpm and give it gas and nothing happens just idles like crap, turn it off then right back on and it's fine.
To me it feels like a fuel problem, I have checked ipr pressure and it's fine so it's not a hp oil leak.....that would be contant anyways, I cleaned to hfcm and it didn't seem dirty.....could the hfcm be going bad?? Truck has 69k miles, no egr....wish I had a fuel pressure gauge, no codes....any ideas? |

get the fuel pressure tested.. If its low you know it is a hfcm.... If its running poor at idle.. Check the icp and pigtail.

I read through that and i dont think its the same, my filters were never clogged, i just thought they were before i pulled them. Mine seems more of an electrical / fuel issue since its not constant. My ficm also has good voltage and has been running a php tune for a few years.

Might have to break down and take it to the dealer in the morning....dont have time to deal with it and it needs to pull a trailer out of state next week....cant chance it stranding me in the middle of nowhere with the little ones. Love my truck yet hate all new vehicles.....to much stuff under the hood.
