i do have fuel and oil, she was running fine and all of a sudden just stopped, cranks good, checked the fuel in the upper filter its clear and full?????
clear? drain some out in a glass jar. it shouldnt be clear but more of a light green, or red if your running off road haha
if its clear, you might be running on h20
Maybe some bad fuel? Can you hear your fuel pump running when you first turn the key on? My buddy's truck just stopped on him yesterday actually in the middle of the deadliest highway in NW Florida, and it turned out to be a fuel pump relay switch...you might want to look into that...
stop cranking on it. It just makes for a hard time when the dealer puts the hpop in. It's an '05 its gonna need a hpop. That is 99.99% the way it is on an '05.
It'll probably have a CPS and CKS from all the cranking, both of which will be false codes. It's the HPOP or the STC fitting on the HPOP. Stroketech got it right!! Without high pressure oil there's no way for your injectors to fire.
could the hpop go out just like that the truck has been running great! it just hase a little over 42000.oo on it never had a problem till now!! thanks for all of your advice!!!!
Thanks, I just called the dealer to pick it up they said the problem was the same thing you said. sure hopes its it. hunting seasons right around the corner need it back soooooooon. thanks again!!!!!!!!!!
My 2004 F350 did the same thing. Turns out the Fuel Injection Controle Module shorted out and blew the fuse for it in the little box between the master cylinder and the driver's front fender. The dealer replaced the FICM and the fuse and I was on my way.
:woot:I'm sorry tim, since BC isnt around much its nice having someone fill in. :hehe:
