SCT SF3

Hey guys, ive been doing a lot of research on a SCT SF3 tuner and plan on purchasing one for my 2004 f350 6.0L. Ive been to several websites about what canned tunes are already on the tuner without purchasing and custom tunes. I have got several different answers and was wondering if i could get some info from someone who currently has this tunner. thanks

What kind of questions do you have about he canned/custom tunes? For the 6.0L, the SF3 offers Trans only, 50hp Tow, 65hp Tow, Street, and Xtreme. It also allows you the option to adjust shift firmness, turbo brake, more aggressive tow/haul, etc...

You can purchase the tuner as is and run the SCT files in your truck, but also have the option of downloading custom files at anytime down the road...

Do you know how many hp the street and Xtreme tunes have? and I seen on their website that it will hold 3 custom tunes. is that the limit? or could I clear the whole programmer and get as many custom as I would like. I want a tune where I can get a great throttle response and pure speed, a good smoke tune and a high idle tune and a Eco tune

3 custom tunes is your limit with the SF3. We've received great feedback about the drive-ability and mileage with our 80hp Economy tune. And for a motor with stock head bolts, I wouldn't recommend running real big tunes for reliability reasons.

do you have any tunes for lots of smoke, high idle, and lope?

Unfortunately, since these are programmers that reflash the PCM, there is no real way to do a Hi-Idle or Lope tune, as you'd have that tune flashed in the PCM all the time with no way to switch to a regular tune without reflashing, making it undriveable. Our 140hp Extreme will put out a decent amount of smoke on the lowend before the turbocharger is lit though.
