6.0 no power

Ok im no 6.0 expert at all but at work we got a 6.0 in that had no power and in OD it would shake like crazy and smoked like a train it showed codes for

Injector #5 miss fire
Injector #5 miscomunication or balance rate
Egr throttle positoin
A couple other egr codes...

So i was told to change injector 5. When i started looking it over (after taking the valve cover off) i found one of the 4 wires going into the injector plug wasnt all the way down and wasnt getting a good connection. I pushed the wire back down. Put it back together after putting a new seal on what i think is the egr cooler (oval shapped seal under the compressor housing held in by 2 t40 screws???)

Cleared codes and took it for a ride. Had more power and ran better and didnt shake in OD any more but still smokes like crazy. So we changed the fuel filters and it still barely gets out its own way. Re-scanned it and it showed Egr throttle position code.

My FICM was only a couple volts low and it started fine. I got it reflashed/fixed at PHP with the 80hp tune and WOW what a difference. I also had the smoking and no power with the EGR codes so I took it out and cleaned it and all was good. I have unplugged the wires to my Egr Because It went bad.

I would also recommend cleaning the EGR valve. What kind of boost are you seeing? You could have stuck vanes/unison ring in the turbo.

Has no gages its a dealership truck. Ill have to see if oyr Genesis shows boost

Babs the ficm caused the smoke and low power or the egr did?

There was an decent amount of oil in the turbo inlet. It does act like the vanes might not be working caise once u get it revd up where it would be making big boost its like a rocket. But from a dead stop its so laggy and smoky almost like its got a huge charger on it.

I think that plate i was talkimg about is a delete plate. It sits on what tje blue hose comin off egr runs into. And has coolant under it????
