weird noise

when im under a load like going up hills and i take my foot off the accelerator a weird chattering noise comes from the engine bay..sounds like somethings loose. Its done this for years. Other than this runs fine.

Have you had exhaust work done on it? Lots of post end up being exhaust pipes rubbing/rattleing under torque.

Chattering? Your not just hearing the turbo decompressing or whatever it does when u let off real fast right?

Is it more like a "whooshing" sound? its hard for me to describe, comes in close waves, louder then quieter?

Can you record the sound for us? (that way will tell you for sure what's going on)

Go to YouTube and search "Powerstroke Turbo Fart".

Listen to some of those and if that's what your hearing, totally normal.
