Got her back!!!
Got my Bessie back Friday! New head gaskets, arp studs, EDP EGR delete, new Ford oil cooler and EDP coolant filtration system that I put on over the weekend.
May just be me, but boy, does she feel like a new machine! Still runnin her stock, just haven't put my SRL back on yet, but its coming soon. Now a question, is there a way to clear the DTC for the disconnected egr valve so it stays cleared and the CEL stays off? We have a V-30 AutoBoss scan tool that I can clear the code, but it comes back on at the next startup. Certainly not going to hook it up and clear everytime I get ready to start her up.

Should be written into the tune. Either way you should be able to turn it off with your SCT.

Yeah, majek, I am going to see if it comes on when the tune is loaded. At stock it stays off after you clear it, but it comes right back on when you turn the truck off and restart.

I know with my srl tune the engine light did come on and same deal would come right back after clearing. I recommend plugging the egr valve in just letting it hang out under the hood or reinstall it the manifold. I was told here on the forum and Matt at gearhead that with the egr valve electrically disconnected it can have a adverse effect on the vgt duty cycle and the fan clutch coming on full speed. Just a little advise.

Stroker, Matt told me the same thing, so I plugged her back in and just let her sit on top. Says the fan tends to like having it hooked up.
