p2291 code no start cold

I went to start my truck yesterday and it cranked forever before it finally "soft" started. I didn't think much about it because it was cold but when I dropped it in gear it died and wouldn't start back until it sat for 10 minutes or so then it would crank and crank and finally soft start and then die again as soon as I put it in gear. I plugged my code reader in and it showed "P2291 icp low when cranking". I suspect the stc fitting or one of the dummy plugs is bad but I want more opinions before I go buying parts. any ideas? It is a 2006 model

First try unplugging the icp sensor and try restarting. If the truck starts and runs you have a bad ICP sensor. If it doesn't then you have a HP oil system issue and you need to do the air test to pinpoint the problem.

Read the sticky on the 6.0 problems foum for the procedure

I think the icp sensor had a bad connection because I unplugged it and plugged it back in and the truck ran fine... I have a head gasket leaking and am about to pull the cab, so when I do im going to replace all the seals and the stc fitting while its all still easy to get to. Thanks for the input.
