New 6.0 sucks

Well long story short I bought a 6.0 yesterday. And seemed to run great. Today I start noticing fumes inside the cab. Strong ones that hurt my eyes. Smells like diesel I believe. It only smells in the cab when I hear this vacuum noise or something like starting on top of the motor and towards the front pipe
Of the exhaust. Any ideas? Sounds like a blow dryer. Truck is completely stock. No idea what this would be. Only
Does it at idle it seems like too

Also I was drivin down the highway today and my abs light came on. Then I lost the radio. Then my gauges went to nothing like the truck was shut off. Lights still worked but were sluggish to switch to Brights and back. They got pretty dim also. Then I kept goin and outta nowhere everything comes back on and works correctly. Hasn't happened again tonight neither. Any help? Shoulda kept my duramax I guess

Sell it and buy another duraturd if your uninformed enough to buy a 6.0 and don't know what to look for or what to do upon buying one. There are enough trolls here already go back to your government bailout junk and stfu.

For the exhaust smell check your up pipe connections at the manifolds and at the turbo and check your turbo outlet connection as well. Thats where I would start anyway

Totally AGREE! Don't make an uniformed decision and then come on this site and then start bashing the powerstroke!
If you want help then ask for it, but don't talk SH#T!
I'm a 7.3 guy, but the 6.0 is a good motor with minor modifications.
Go back to your duramax with your crappy interior and smaller cab!

I do have to agree. If you want help, ask. There are plenty of people here with GREAT knowledge that are willing to help. I also agree that you need to really know what you're getting yourself into with a 6.0. I personally did RESEARCH on the 6.0 before I bought mine. I knew what the "common" problems were with the motor, now I just keep learning more and more. Good luck with your issue and consider your approach if you are actually looking for some help.

The exhaust smell in the cab could be a lot of different things. For example, were your windows down while you were sitting there at idle? Other things could be a loose y-pipe or a loose down pipe.

The electrical issue appears to be a grounding problem from the description. You would have to track that down with a multimeter.

I don't know if you are a troll or not, but if you aren't I hope you find this site to be a great resource. Personally, I bought my 6.0, my first diesel, without doing any research at all. I knew NOTHING about diesels other than they can tow a chit ton and you can get a lot of mileage out of them. I got lucky. I haven't had any of the typical 6.0 issues. You may not be so lucky. So, search the site and ask questions that you have. Just make sure to be respectful. There are a lot of guys here that LOVE their Ford truck, me included. We don't appreciate people coming on to OUR site and bashing the brand and trucks that we love.

Um ok?

So like what, are we 10 years old? I said new 6.0 sucks as the title, which I am referring to the 6.0 I purchased. I never said powerstroke sucks or 6.0 is 100% garbage.

I also never said im uninformed. Headstuds, egr delete, coolant filtration, etc. I know it needs these.

To say I should "expect" that my trucks radio shuts downs and lose my gauges is gonna happen is acenine. So stop being a girl and just realize im just saying what mine is doing.

I also never said duramax is better. I said maybe I should have just kept my Duramax because I never had an issue.

Could I deal without these problems, hell yes. I am coming to this forum for answers so I don't have to take my duramax back.

I don't know why you are all jumping the gun just because I am a little frustrated my "new to me" truck is already having problems. I am sure everyone would do the same.

To those I offended, im sorry. It wasn't supposed to come out that way. To whoever telling me to "stfu". You may as well just not chime in because I am looking for help, not PMS.

Thank you all.
