101k Mi PSD Acting Weird
Has anyone else had a problem with their truck jerking randomly above 40MPH? My buddy Aaron (GreenF350) drove my truck last weekend so I could show him what was going on and he thought it was weird also. The RPM's stay the same, but you can feel a jerk (sometimes hard, sometimes not) whenever you're cruising 45-65 mph. He seems to think it's missing somewhere...but I'm not to familiar with that. At first I thought it was the tranny...but it's fine. Then I thought it was the air filter...that didn't fix it either. I'm out of ideas...has anyone else had this problem?
It's funny how nothing went wrong until my warranty expired... -Ben |

Hmm get the truck scanned for codes. Might be a turbo issue?

The turbo sounds loud as usual...what could be wrong with it?

It may just need a cleaning was just thinking it may be that as your not losing rpms with the speed loss. Not sure really just a stab in the dark. If you can get your truck scanned might help if any codes come up will point you in the right direction.

Thanks. Now that I think about it...the speed stays the same, as long as I'm on the accelerator, but the truck will jerk harder and harder until I let off, then when I get back on it it's fine...for a minute or two. It's really weird...I'll have to wait for the next paycheck to get the codes...the Ford dealership likes to rip people off down here...

Cps isn't really a problem with the 6.0. Not to say its not it, but I don't think so. No buddies with programmers that can scan it for you?

Just one, but he has a 7.3L. It doesn't do it when it's cold, but I need that new induction heat flash thats out because it runs really rough in the morning after its sat about 8 hours or more. When I plug it in it's fine...but I live in Florida...so I really don't need to plug it in. 60 degrees at night isnt that cold! But to answer your question, it actually doesn't do it until the truck warms up and I'm about halfway to work.

Your buddies tuner will work for your truck also. Doesn't matter that he has a 7.3. Yeah Im not sure but have your buddy scan the truck and post up the codes if any. Otherwise Im sure someone will chime in to point you in the right direction.
