07 F-250 Bluish smoke & noises

Greetings everyone,

Here's my problem: First off this is the first diesel F-250 I have owned so I am new to this whole thing. Anyways, I just purchased a 2007 F-250 and at about 1,100 miles it started blowing bluish smoke when I would come to a stop. The first time it did it the truck sat and idled for about 30 min. The next time I was just doing some around town driving. It also had a "howling" sound at different times that kind of peaked my attention. Last week, I installed a bully dog 4" turbo back exhuast excluding the cat, and then I installed a bully dog triple power programmer. Since the mods were done, the truck does not smoke anymore and the howling is far and few between. My question is, did these mods really solve the problem? or are they being covered up by them? I have been reading lots of posts on here lately and I got a bit concerned about my problems. The truck now only has 1,975 miles on it and I am hoping I didnt buy a bad one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have an 06 and it smokes a little blue at a stop but only sometimes. I dont have a howl but to my understanding im just burning a little oil sometimes. Its no big deal IMO. I wouldnt worry about it if I were you. But im also not a mechanic so maybe I am wrong just my
