aaaactually- it's the complete opposite. More smoke, less power. The smoke is unburnt fuel, correct- but unburnt fuel isn't being used for power. So if you are blowing smoke, you're blowing your chances at more power. Less smoke is good. YES, you will get a certain amount once you hit a certain power level, but too much is just that, too much. Soot rocks don't get me wrong, but in the power wars, you want less soot so that the fuel is being used inside the engine instead of depleting the Ozone.

my .02 on this "white smoke" story- sounds like we are seeing another head case. But if the dealer didn't see any real problems, let the coal roll!

I was thinking about it some more. How many miles, with the mods, do you have on the truck? How do you run it? Hard, you take it to the track a lot, if ever? I know that mine had 46,500 miles on it and about 15 or so track passes before I finally took it in. I didn't mean to get you worried, but it's best to get it under warranty. I know some dealers will only look for little things unless you point it out and MAKE them look for big things.

The truck has just over 10,000 on it, the mods have only been on for about 5,000 and I've only taken it to the track twice. I never even put it on the highest setting on the SCT for a track run. And the dealership gave me alot of **** about my mods. I mean I haven't done anything extreme to it yet. I'm going to take it to one of the diesel guys around here and see what he thinks.

It stops around 1500 and everything is normal temp wise and oil level hasnt changed. Any ideas on whats up?

Also I used to have a SCT on it but I put it back to stock incase I have to take it in. They shouldnt see that it was tuned correct?

UPDATE!!!!

I took the truck to another dealer who was a little more mod friendly then the other. Turns out one of the seals in the turbo went so they rebuilt it and took care of everything. Truck will be back together and ready for Thursday morning!!! Its amazing what happens when you actually look to see what the problem is instead of just blowing people off cause they have a couple mods.
