Here goes the coolant flush...

I'm getting ready to do coolant flush over the weekend on my '06. I'm doing a pre-flight checklist...

I have or am buying the following:

- I have the Fumoto valve

- New t-stat w/o-ring

- Overflow bottle cap.

- I thought I saw an updated radiator drain plug Ford part # on this site but can't find it now. Was I dreaming or is there an updated number I need to make the flush easier?

- I'm going to have to buy VC-9 from Ford because I can't find the Restore+ in Maryland anywhere and I can't wait to mail order (with shipping, it's cheaper to get the VC-9 locally anyway). I did find Restore at a local International dealer, along with Shell Rotella ELC at only $12.95 a gallon.

Anything else you guys can think of? Any last minute tips for me? Does it sound worse than it is?

sounds like you got it covered , and its not bad to do, the vc-9 doesnt do a bad job at all

Don't forget the distilled water and some ph strips in the end it needs to be a 7.0 ph
